The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G announced its first-ever Miles for Mercy virtual 5K benefitting the Mercy Health Foundation throughout June 15-20.

The Miles for Mercy virtual race is replacing the annual 5k at the LGPA that was initially slated for June 20 this year. The new challenge put on by P&G will support the Mercy Health Foundation and local healthcare heroes in Northwest Arkansas.

“We look forward to rallying the community for good, as we celebrate healthcare workers on the frontlines of this pandemic,” says Mindy Sherwood, president of the Proctor & Gamble Walmart Global Customer team.

Miles for Mercy participants are encouraged to log every mile ran or walked during the designated Miles for Mercy week. Each mile submitted equals $1 donated to the Mercy Health Foundation by Proctor & Gamble.

Participants are encouraged to honor the Mercy Health Foundation by utilizing the hashtag #MilesforMercy on social media throughout the week.

Information regarding registration is available at www.Race-Wizard.com.
