Walk the Moon, the wildly popular indie-rock band behind the chart-topping “Shut Up and Dance,” is coming to the Walmart AMP with special guest MisterWives on Thursday, Aug. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

“Shut Up and Dance” spent 22 weeks on Billboard’s Top 10 alternative rock radio with four consecutive weeks at #1. The song reached the Top 5 on the iTunes Top Songs Chart, Billboard Digital Songs and Digital Tracks Charts, and has been streamed over 88 million times globally. Walk the Moon has performed on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Today Show, among others.

In concert, Walk the Moon’s live show is not a spectator sport. Instead, it’s an interactive celebration of life and love, a communal commitment to joy and living in the moment. Onstage, singer and keyboardist Nicholas Petricca leads audiences in a mass exorcism of the things that bring them down, casting out the demons of doubt and insecurity with hands raised to the sky.

MisterWives’ sound has been described as indie-pop-soul and has been well received in some of New York’s most notable venues. Their live concerts incorporate various musicians who contribute sax, trumpet, guitar and strings to their well-rounded sound. They have performed at the Boston Calling Music Festival as well as many other major music festivals including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Hangout Fest, LouFest and Austin City Limits.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices range from $25.50 to $50 plus applicable fees – for this concert, guests can also purchase the “LAWN 4-PACK” and pay a single ticket price of $19.25. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Walton Arts Center Box Office (in its temporary location in Nadine Baum Studios), by calling 479-443-5600 or by visiting www.amptickets.com.
