What: “I Love the 90s” Party for a Cause

Get into the 90s groove with a dance party with all your favorites from that decade – Backstreet Boys, Hanson and more. As always, there will be food and drinks, but make sure to look dapper for the Best Dressed contest. All proceeds support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
What: Exhibit Opening: Territorial Arkansas
Where: MacArthur Museum
Kicking off a month-long run, the “Territorial Arkansas: The Wild Western Frontier”exhibit will open this week at the MacArthur Museum. The exhibit, which consists of 15 panels, tells the history of the Arkansas Territory using the collections of the Arkasnas State Archives.

The Old State House Museum is hosting another one of its popular Nights at the Museum, and this time, they’re going Jurassic. During the event, there will be dinosaur-related crafts and activities to enjoy. Because there will be adult beverages for sale, this event is for patrons 21 years and older.
What: Star Wars IV: A New Hope screening
Where: CALS Ron Robinson Theater
When: 7 pm
Head to a galaxy far, far away for the screening of an iconic science fiction film – or you could just go to the CALS Ron Robinson Theater. CALS is showing all of the Star Wars films, and this week, the library system is showing the original: Episode IV: A New Hope.

What: Legally Blonde: The Musical
Where: Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas (Pine Bluff)
When: 7:30pm Friday and Saturday, 2pm Sunday
What would you do to win back the man of your dreams. Join Elle Woods as she tries to win back the boyfriend who dumped her as she enrolls in Harvard Law and navigates a whole new world. With toe-tapping songs and great dances, this musical can’t be missed. Tickets are $20 for members, $25 for non-members, and $15 for students.

Lush Cosmetics is coming to town for a special pop-up event. Using two repurposed shipping containers, Lush will have walls of colorful bath bombs, fizzers and more.

The Little Rock Night Market is always a fun event to catch. This free market features live music, food trucks, and even dance lessons.
What: The Meteor – First Inaugural Throwdown

Are you ready to throw down this weekend? The Meteor is holding its first ever latte art competition, in which baristas will go head-to-head in latte pouring. Tickets to compete are $10. There will be prizes for first through third places and door prizes. Find out more here.

Civil Axe Throwing is holding its ribbon-“chopping” this Friday and opening up for everyone who wants to toss the axes. It features four lanes and has hour-long throwing sessions.

As the saying goes, “Ain’t no thing but a chicken wing!” And that’s exactly what Wingstock is serving up this weekend. Fill up on all-you-can-eat wings from more than 30 local restaurants and vendors, who are competing for the coveted People’s Choice Award and the Golden Wing Award.
