Adrian Quintanar, Arkansas Arts Center Resident Artist, explores beauty and color without neglecting form and craftsmanship in his new body of work, Blue Porcelain. His work showcases forms of daily life including: viewing vases of flowers, waking up to have coffee and a cool nightcap on a summer evening. Admission is free.

Heavy Metal: Arkansas Women to Watch 2019 continues this week at the Art & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff. This exhibit showcases the work of artists Amanda Heinbockel, Holly Laws, Michele Fox, and Robyn Horn and is sponsored by the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. The Special Olympics Summer Games is at Harding University’s campus this weekend! 2,000 athletes from all over the state will compete in powerlifting, team softball, flag football, swimming, bocce and athletics and will showcase weeks of preparation and dedication from everyone taking part. The Painted Tree is hosting a Paint Your Own Piece Workshop this Saturday in West Little Rock!
