The 2nd Annual Cinco de Heights Street Fiesta is a two-day celebration in support of the Arkansas Foodbank. Festivities kick off on Friday at Heights Taco Tamale with food specials and $5 margaritas. On Saturday the fiesta heads to the street and the area of Kavanaugh Boulevard in front of Heights Taco & Tamale will be closed for live music, drinks, activities for kids and more. Saturday the festival hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday through Sunday

In partnership with the Stella Boyle Smith Trust, Ballet Arkansas presents Ballet Arkansas in Concert, which pairs high profile works of classical and contemporary dance with musical accompaniment from world renowned musicians in the spring of each year. Performances will be held at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, 601 Main Street. The Friday through Sunday performances will feature Van Cliburn International Pianist Dr. Drew Mays as he takes the stage for three stellar performances. Saturday

Don’t miss the annual blondes vs. brunettes football competition, RivALZ, to raise money for the Arkansas chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. From noon to 3 p.m. the two teams will meet on the field at Pulaski Academy at 12701 Hinson Road in Little Rock to battle it out, flag-football style.
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the 2018 Rock City Margarita Festival at Heifer Village & Urban Farm, 1 World Avenue in Little Rock. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. you can sample as many margaritas as you like from more than 25 different vendors. Advance tickets are $25 which includes access to the festival and a tasting glass. Food is not included in the ticket price and will be available for purchase inside the festival.
Don your Southern summer best and make an appearance at the Old State House Museum for the 2018 Seersucker Social and Derby Day. The party starts at 3 p.m. with lawn games, music, food and, mint juleps – all building up to the excitement of watching the Kentucky Derby streamed live right to the Old State House lawn. General admission tickets are $50 and VIP passes are $75.
