Enjoy some quality time fishing for trout this weekend.
Everyone 16 years and older must have a valid AGFC fishing license and trout stamp.
A fishing license is $10.50 and a trout permit is $10 for Arkansas residents.
Children under the age of 16 fish for free.
Don’t forget to bring your own bait and tackle.
Did you know? Trout are not native to Arkansas. Trout were introduced to Arkansas after U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams were built, which increased cold-water discharge into rivers, wiping out smallmouth bass fisheries. The government introduced trout, which can handle lower temperatures.
