El Dorado man wins $1 million in lottery
- After purchasing a scratch-off lottery ticket in El Dorado, FredTavious Davis was named the lucky winner of $1 million at the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center. Davis plans to buy his mother a car, help out his brother, and invest the rest of his winnings.
International rights for Clark Duke film ‘Arkansas’ sold
- The international rights for Arkansas native Clark Duke’s debut film have been sold for multiple countries and regions. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate has bought multiple international territory rights Duke’s film Arkansas. The studio has bought the territory rights for Africa, Latin America, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, India, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Israel, Romania, Slovakia and multiple European countries, including Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland.
Bentonville considering face mask regulations
- Due to the continued spike of COVID-19 cases in Northwest Arkansas, officials in Bentonville and Bella Vista are advocating for more people to wear face coverings. While there has been no executive order, Bella Vista did pass a resolution yesterday that encourages residents to wear a mask.
