Of all the infinite decimals, 3.14159265359 (and so on) has to be the best for the simple reason that we get to celebrate Pi Day. Leaving the math stuff at the door (because who really needs math), March 14, or 3.14, is all about the pies. Apple pie, chocolate pie, fried pie, pizza pie — the list is as long as the decimal. This one day is a creative opportunity for bakeries and restaurants to give “3.14” specials and to simply appreciate the beauty of pie.

Pi Day Pie Contest & Pie Auction

Come and get your pie at the Russellville Train Depot this afternoon. Local bakers have entered their top-secret family recipes to be enjoyed by the community. The “Whole Pie Auction” will run from 11 am to 4 pm on Main Street Russellville’s Facebook page. Slices will also be available for purchase starting at 12:30 pm. Annual Pi Day at the Capitol

Everyone deserves a piece of the pie at the Capitol’s annual Pie Day. Hosted by the Arkansas Alliance for Disability Advocacy, this Pie Day is in support of individuals with disabilities. Get your pie and learn something new today!

Once you’re full off all the pies, keep the party going at 6 pm with a 3.14 miles fun and a family-friendly bike ride from the brewery. NWA No Drop Cycling and Arkansas Latinas En Bici will the bike ride while Benton Country Running Clubb will lead the run. If you’re worried about the pie slowing you down, rest assured that no one will be left in the “crust.”
