Winter is coming: Explore the science of Game of Thronesat this Thursday’s “Science After Dark” at the Museum of Discover. The event is from 6-9 p.m. Admission is $5 or free for members. There and back again:The Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre is hosting a “Pay What You Can Preview” night for their production of The Hobbit. Join the cast and crew as they tell you about an adventure of a lifetime in this adaptation of Tolkien’s novel. The performance will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 7-8 p.m. Tickets go on sale at Thursday, April 25 at 10 a.m. Guests can only purchase six tickets per person based on availability.

Wild nights, wild wines: Get ready for a wild night at the Little Rock Zoo. This Friday, the Zoo is holding its Wild Wines VIP night from 7-9 p.m. “Wild Wines VIP Night” is at Cafe Africa and the Civitan Pavilion and will feature higher-end wine and food from some of the best local restaurants. Live music will be provided by The Rodney Block Collective. Tickets are $150 and include admission for the Mane Event Saturday night. Get your tickets here.
Tickling the ivories:The Piano Guys are stopping by the Robinson Center this Friday! These four friends will take the stage for a night of fun and great music! Go on a safari: “Aldersgate After Dark” is returning to Camp Aldersgate with a safari themed evening. Come explore the campgrounds for exotic animal viewing and dining under the stars. Hungry for a cause: Community Health Centers of Arkansas is hosting the first annual “Hunger Banquet” this Friday at Cathead’s Diner! The event will feature two time slots, 5:30 pm to 7 pm and 7:30 pm to 9 pm. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit Franklin Community Health Complex and its efforts to provide and expand quality healthcare to local vulnerable populations. Family movie night: Come out to Sherwood Forest this Friday for a night of outdoor movie fun with “Movies in the Pavilion!” The Sherwood Mayor’s Youth Council and the City of Sherwood Parks and Recreation Department will be showingIncredibles 2starting at 7:30 p.m.free for guests. Attendees are welcome to bring chairs, blankets and snacks. This is the first of the “Movies in the Pavilion” lineup followed by Toy Story on June 14.

Italy comes to Arkansas:The Arkansas Italian Food & Culture Festival is this weekend at the Clinton Presidential Center! The festival will feature food vendors from all over the state, a demo tent presenting Italian food and wines and more! Tickets are $10 per day and kids and under 10 get in free. This event will help support the Boys & Girls Club of Central Arkansas. The dates and times are: Friday, April 26 from 4-10 p.m.; Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, April 28 from11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Calling all green thumbs: The 2019 Spring Native Plant Market is this Saturday! This event will feature vendors like Grand Designs, Love Creek Nursery, Ozark Native Plants, and Pine Ridge Gardens. Admission is $5 per person and $3 for members of the Audubon Chapter, AR Native Plant Society, Master Gardeners and AR Master Naturalist Members, or Granite Mountain Neighborhood Association. The event will be held at Audubon Arkansas from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fun at the Zoo: This is the big event – as a matter of fact, it’s the “mane” event! Wild Wines: Mane Event 2019 is this Saturday from 7-10 p.m. Enjoy great food from over 40 local restaurants and wines from O’Looneys Wine and Liquor this weekend at “Wild Wines: Mane Event 2019.” This event will have live music from Dizzy 7, Billstown, D Harp Steel Entertainment, SynRG and more! Be a superhero: Lululemon Little Rock is hosting the Keep on Amazing Spring Walk/Run at the Promenade at Chenal this Saturday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. This free superhero-themed event is sponsored by Baptist Health and costumes are encouraged! Off to the races: Come enjoy a day of racing at Oaklawn with the Little Rock Club! Moving for a cause: Moving Day is a fundraising walk for the Parkinson Foundation highlighting movement and exercise as a symbol of hope because of its role in treating Parkinson’s disease. Saturday night dancing fever: Grab your girlfriends and head out for a fun night of dancing! This Saturday, Party with a Heart is hosting a girl’s-night-only dance party at Club 27 from 8-11 p.m. The party is a great event that will benefit Arkansas Paws in Prison, a nonprofit that helps Arkansas prison inmates learn how to train dogs.
