The tiny hamlet of Wilson is getting press left and right. And we see why. It’s about an hour west of Memphis and two-and-a-half hours from Central Arkansas. And it’s worth it. Just to eat at the Wilson Cafe, see the cute square and dream about the hotel that is opening soon.
The website says it will open next month. And you have to make the trek during the holidays. The chatter is that the square is lit for Christmas, and the town is electric! A little more than a thousand residents inhabit this town, and it’s making us think we could add to the population. It’s that charming.
As for dining, there is one destination. The Wilson Cafe and Tavern. And today is Friday so the catfish is all the rage. Worth driving there today? We’d say YES! Stay a little longer after lunch and enjoy the wine tasting at 4 p.m. (bring a designated driver for this one).
