As 2020 couples are left reeling from the repercussions of the coronavirus’ impact on the wedding industry, the Cross Iron Cottage in Glen Rose is looking to provide a helping hand to one lucky couple.
“Many wedding plans of Arkansas couples have been affected due to COVID-19,” Tonia Griffin, owner and designer of Cross Iron Cottage, says. “We felt led to put together a dream team of professionals to give away a beautiful and intimate wedding.”
The English cottage venue – just thirty minutes from both Little Rock and Hot Springs – has partnered with fabulous vendors across the state, creating the ultimate Wedding Elopement Giveaway for the engaged couple itching to marry their sweetheart. The winning couple will receive the following: a venue, wedding planner, photographer, caterer, officiant, bridal accessories and tux rental, hair and makeup, confectioner, florist, jewelry and rentals – totaling up to a $10,000 value. The wedding will provide for up to 12 of their closest family and friends.
The winners of the giveaway will have their wedding on September 20, 2020 under the outdoor chapel-style pavilion on the cottage grounds. Griffin designed the venue in 2016, inspired by cottage treasures such as 19th century stained glass and a custom fireplace created from an 1870 pump organ. Couples are invited to dress upstairs, before making their way through the Moon Gate. Representing the circle of eternal love, the gate leads the way to the open chapel.
“Our goal is to show an outpouring of love to one lucky couple, their family and closest friends,” Griffin says.
In addition, the winning couple will have their photos featured in AY (About You) magazine.
Interested couples are asked to simply write a letter about why they want to win this wedding from Cross Iron Cottage and email it to crossironcottage@yahoo.com by Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 5 p.m. CST. The winning couple will be announced on July 1, 2020.
