Daniel Puder, a WWE Million Dollar “Tough Enough” competition champion and mixed martial artist, is bringing his My Life My Power non-profit program to Arkansas. The program, which focuses on community leadership, will begin with outreach to schools in St. Francis County.
“What we have designed is a social, emotional and leadership program,” says Puder. “We have had a lot of people impact this program and really pour their hearts into it so we can create the best program for future generations,” says Puter.
Puder started MLMP in 2010 after feeling called to help students struggling with bullying and having experience being bullied growing up. The program has reached to about 30 states so far.
“We run the students and adults who will work with them, whether it is law enforcement or educators, through a training course that connects them to what they want create with their lives,” says Puder. “It helps them understand themselves by recognizing some of their fears or how their emotions drive them or their circumstances versus maybe their vision and their purpose.”
Puder says he and the St. Francis Sheriff’s office are meeting with schools this week to give demonstrations in hopes of enrolling the schools into the program. They hope to launch their first training session within the next three months.
“It takes a little bit of time to implement, but getting the right partners on board creates a better foundation,” says Puder. “We will train them on how we do what we do and then we will launch the program with some of the youths.”
MLMP offers a variety of training courses for grade schools, universities and corporate workers through mentor training workshops, university courses, jail-to-school diversion programs, college preparation platform, corporate platform, continuing education for teachers and youth year-round programming.
“Every city is different but every person wants the same thing,” says Puder. “They want to have a great life, enjoy the resources of America, to have a family or travel or whatever those things are.”
