October brings exciting updates for Yellow Rocket Concepts with off-menu items at affiliate restaurants and the 5th annual Festival of Darkness.

 

Lost Forty Brewing is holding its 5th annual Festival of Darkness on Oct. 23 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Serving the 2021 brew of Nighty Night Barrel-Aged Imperial stout, Lost Forty has planned a hauntingly good night of celebrations.

 

 

The Festival of Darkness celebrates the intricate flavors of dark beer with dozens of local and regional breweries and their samples of dark beer selections. To make room for the festivities, Byrd Street will be down to host the “Beer Garden of Darkness” along with costumed zombies, live music, fire-breathing stilt walkers, food trucks, merch and more.

 

Making the night even better, the Festival of Darkness raises funds for Recycle Bikes for Kids’ mission of providing children and adults in need with the chance to own a bicycle. Since 2016, the Festival of Darkness has raised more than $10,000 for the non-profit.

But the October fun doesn’t end there. Big Orange, ZAZA and Local Lime have special off-menu food items available this month.

 

Big Orange (West Little Rock, Midtown Little Rock, Rogers): 

  • Frito Chili Pie Burger featuring house-ground, all-natural beef patty, house-made chili, sharp cheddar, pepper jack, Fritos corn chips, fried onion strings, mustard, mayo and fresh and pickled jalapenos. 
  • Seasonal Chocolate Cake Shake with a slice of chocolate fudge cake in a creamy vanilla milkshake, caramel and chocolate sauce, whipped cream, pretzels and a cherry on top.

 

ZAZA (Little Rock, Conway):

  • Ciao Italiano Salad with garlic wood-oven roasted mushrooms, salami soppressata, roasted artichokes, sweet and spicy pepper salad, mozzarella, marjoram and parmesan-pink-peppercorn cream dressing.

 

Local Lime (Little Rock, Rogers):

  • Green Chile Stew with braised pork shoulder, roasted green chiles, corn tortillas strips, carrots, cilantro and lime topped with queso fresco, fresh corn and avocado.
