Update: Yeyo’s Mezcaleria & Taqueria is now open in Rogers. The restaurant’s hours are 4-11 pm.

Yeyo’s Hospitality Group is opening up a new concept restaurant in Northwest Arkansas. The new restaurant, Yeyo’s Mezcaleria & Taqueria, is designed to bring authentic Mexican street food to Arkansas.

Opening Monday, Nov. 11, Yeyo’s Mezcaleria & Taqueria is the latest venture in a long line of businesses that Yeyo’s has introduced in Northwest Arkansas. Starting with a farm in 2012, Yeyo’s steadily began adding restaurant concepts, including a food truck, its flagship restaurant at the 8th Street Market in Bentonville and a catering business.

Accoridng to Yeyo’s Hospitality Group founder and executive chef Rafael Rios, the Mezcaleria & Taqueria concept is a form of cultural sharing and preservation. The restaurant, he says, will be a celebration of food, Mezcal, art and more.

“Our goal with this concept is to preserve and share our deepest roots and traditions, create a spiritual connection with artisanal Mezcal, art, food, and people,” Rios says.

In addition to food, Yeyo’s will feature original art from noted Mexican artist Octavio Logo.

“All over the world people have a special relation and interaction with their culture and traditions. There is no stronger connection with culture than food, the flavors, and smells, the beverages, the way to eat it, and drink it,” Logo says. “However, there is always more substance, more history, more meaning behind every meal and beverage, and I wanted to express it throughout the sculptures and murals created specifically for Rafael and Yeyo’s.”

Yeyo’s Mezcaleria & Taqueria will be located at 101 E Walnut Street, Suite 204, inside Onyx Coffee Lab, in Rogers.
